Email Setup for Outlook 2019 (POP)

Setting up Outlook Manually.

IMPORTANT: Finish the steps on the Start Here page before proceeding.

(If you’re opening Outlook 2019 for the first time, scroll down to the second step)

Adding an Account in Outlook 2019

Click the File tab in Outlook 2019 to start the process of adding a new email account.

In the Info section, click the Add Account button.

Enter email and Select Manual Configuration

  1. Enter your email address in the text field.
  2. Click the arrow icon next to Advanced options.
  3. Check the “Let me set up my account manually” box.
  4. Click the Connect button.

Choose Account Type

Select “POP” and click “Next”

Add Account Settings

  1. Under Incoming mail server, enter pop.us.exg7.exghost.com
  2. Next, add Port 995 to the right.
  3. Check “This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL/TLS)
  4. Under Outgoing mail server, enter smtp.us.exg7.exghost.com
  5. Next, add Port 587 to the right.
  6. Encryption method should be set to STARTTLS

NOTE: On Outlook 2016, if you receive an encryption error, you can use a lower encryption method.

Click the Next button.

Entering your email password

  1. Enter your email password into the text field.
  2. Click the Connect button.

 

Account setup is complete

  1. Uncheck the box that says “Set up Outlook Mobile on my phone, too”.
  2. Click the OK button.

Congratulations! You have successfully setup Outlook.
